Interior Designer Continuing Education Requirement

Certified interior designers must acquire 12 hours of continuing education units (CEUs) every two years, and within the prescribed reporting period.  Meeting the continuing education requirement is a condition for renewal (though certificate holders are exempted for their first renewal).

All topics must be health, safety and welfare related.

Certificate holders must certify completion of the CE requirement during the renewal process.

Certificates may be randomly selected for a CE audit. If selected for a CE audit, the holder of the certificate must then (and only then) provide documentation as described in the rules.

See Chapter 4 of the Rules and Regulations for the details regarding mandatory continuing education.
