Proposed Landscape Architect Rules (February 2020)

This is an official notification to all Mississippi-registered landscape architects of important proposed rule changes. The Landscape Architecture Advisory Committee of the Mississippi State Board of Architecture recently adopted new and revised rules that were filed with the Mississippi Secretary of State on February 7, 2020. Please review the proposed rules, which will:

Amend Rules 1.3, 2.5.1, and 3.1 to bring the rules into compliance with the “Fresh Start Act of 2019” (SB 2781).
Add a new Rule 1.14 to define practices exempt from landscape architectural licensing identified in Miss. Code Ann. § 73-2-19.

The Committee invites your comments or questions regarding the proposed rules. Send them by email to jcothron@msboa.ms.gov (or by postal mail to the Board address) by March 11, 2020.
